The Story Continues

I knew I should have waited to post my egg photos but I just had to share my excitement with you but turns out there is more to tell.

Flash back to yesterday afternoon.

There it was my perfect tiny egg. What a surprise! I was so excited I ran all over searching for Mountain Man and found him in his shop. After producing my most remarkable first egg, I said to him, “You wait. I bet this is a sign. I’ll bet you anything this egg means the baby will arrive today.” Baby referring to my first granddaughter who was due on December 1st.

And sure enough, she arrived last night and without further ado, I introduce to you my beautiful, first grandchild, baby Elizabeth.

Mother and daughter are resting comfortably. What a special first egg!

Grand daughters are a precious thing. Even number five is still just as precious as number one. You thought having turkeys and guineas follow you around was fun, just wait until a little grand daughter follows grandma around with curious questions about everything on your zoo land farm. Just wait until she gets to gather her first egg from grandma’s chickens with wide eyed excitement. There’s nothing like watching a young grand daughter try to explain their grandma experiences to Mom with so much excitement they can hardly speak slow enough to be understood. You are beginning a wonderful never ending journey. Once a grandma you can never go back …. and really why would you want to.

Have a great Grandma day.

Looks like your little first egg was an omen of things to come, a harbinger that a new chick would be brought forth into this world. Congratulations, you will be the perfect grandmother and from now on Christmas will have a two-fold blessing for you.
BTW your daughter is lovely and the baby beautiful beyond words.

She is a beautiful little girl. I just heard on Thanksgiving that my first grandchild will arrive the end of July. I am thrilled beyond belief. I do adore my two granddogs but cuddling a baby will be even nicer.

Best wishes to you and your daughter and granddaughter.
