The Blogging Blues

Maybe it started with the incessant humidity and hot weather that has grabbed hold of the Northeast Kingdom and refuses to let go or maybe it has something to do with the robins who abandoned Red Pine Mountain early this year forecasting in their own way a harsh winter ahead. Most definitely it was the reality once again that life is so tenuous and a gift to be cherished every day.

I’ve needed some time away from the computer to regroup and reevaluate. Now, my son and my daughter in law are arriving with my granddoggie tomorrow. I’ll take pictures, gather stories and return refreshed once again.

I totally get it…and have read about so many people feeling this way right now out in blogland. Maybe it's the changing of the seasons, and once we feel the crispness of fall, we'll feel reinspired again! :) Have fun with your family!

I know how you feel. It's been horrible humid here, lots of canning and pickling to do and to top it all off, I got a 456 piece order to embroider before the 1st of Oct. and one machine is down and today the other machine started acting up. I haven't really felt to much like blogging!

I've been in this state too. Brain Melt Down from the incessant HEAT. I'm like BLAH…no inspiration…no insight…no intelligent thought. Serious Slump.

Enjoy the visit with your family!

I'm starting to get that panic feeling that I haven't accomplished all that I planned this summer. Then I'm in a fog and can't get started.

Enjoy your visit. I know when it's real hot sometimes I just sit and sweat at the computer, then finally give it up. Sometimes, blogging just has to wait.

Oh, I do that too. There are times when I'm just empty and have nothing to say. I find I need to switch mediums at that point–knit, quilt, take photos, etc. and that seems to bring the stories and the words back.

Enjoy your visit and don't feel guilty about turning the computer off or not blogging. We'll all be here when you get back! :)

Oh, thanks for the Blog of the Week there on the side! What a nice surprise!!!

Take all the time you need. I know all the blogs about blogging say to post everyday and don't leave your "post," as it were, but frankly my dear, I don't have it in me not to take breaks. Sometimes, ya just gotta disappear. Go have fun!
