The Babies Are Here!

Okay everyone. There’s tons of pictures in this post. Why? Because as of 4:30 this morning, I’m a new Mom! The babies finally arrived. And, if you know me, then you know I’m talking about 4 footed babies. Specifically, the minis who have been a long time coming. Delays in weather and transportation were to blame but finally they were on their way. Mountain Man and I were expecting them today in the late afternoon.
Imagine our surprise when at 4:30 a.m. the dogs started barking. There outside our gate was the largest horse trailer I’ve ever seen and on it were our minis! I rushed out, still in my pajamas and only half awake. In my sleepy state, I even managed to call the driver “darling” but embarrassed as I was, I was even more excited to see the minis.
I cant even begin to describe how tiny they are and how adorable they are but here’s their first photos.
Tigger and Trey have been raised together and they are best friends.

What did surprise me though was Bliss and Khrysta. For both of them, it was love at first sight. Bliss started nickering and Khrysta answered her. I decided to stand close by because I was worried about the size difference and see how they did together but they have already bonded. Khrysta thinks she’s Bliss’s mom and Bliss follows her everywhere.

If you are ever looking for a mini horse or mini donkey, please check out Turner’s Minis. Teresa is one of the kindest people you’ll ever meet and she has the patience of a saint and she loves all her animals as much as I do.
I’m headed back out now.

Awww, they are sooo cute!

I love them….wonder if I could keep one like a dog……in the house and all ?
I hope you don’t leave them alone with Khrysta. I would love one, but don’t know anything about them……can mini-donkeys go outside in the winter (probably a really dumb question with all that fur they have in the photos) I wonder if you can walk them with your dogs?

They are the cutest little babies ever! How long could I keep two in the back yard before the city official people noticed? Couldn’t I tell I am conserving fuel instead of using my mower. I could walk one on a leash for the front yard. Do they bray very loud?

Too cute! I have a grandbaby that would squeal with delight over these minis! You should have seen her with the baby chicks at Tractor Supply store last night.

MW, it looks like you are so enjoying your new life in the country. How old are the donkeys? They certainly appear to have adopted their new home quickly. I love to watch how animals interact with each other. Even interspecies can become best friends. A lesson we humans could pay attention to sometimes. Thank you so much for sharing the joyous moments in your life through blogging.
