Six Unspectacular Quirks

I have been tagged by Jamey, author of the blog, Walking by Faith. I enjoy visiting her blog and reading about her life with her family and I was happy to know she tagged me because she wanted to know more about me through my six unspectacular quirks. I’ll confine myself to six but really I think I have hundreds of unspectacular things I could mention about myself.
Without further fanfare, here they are in no particular order of unspectacularness:
1. I can’t wake up if I don’t drink coffee in the morning. Without caffeine, I couldn’t function. My dogs are trained (all 6 of them) not to bother me until that first cup takes effect.
2. I sleep with four (yes, four) feather beds on top of a pillowtop mattress.
3. I always have a book close by and read more than one at once.
4. I love reality television (especially Project Runway, Kitchen Nightmares and Survivor).
5. If I travel, I always take my own pillows.
6. I can’t stand talking on the phone and I never answer it.
There’s my list of six quirks which are definitely unspectacular.
I’m supposed to tag six people but because I know that tagging people with memes can often cause normal people to become crazed, I will let you decide if you wish to participate. I personally love being tagged because it means someone out there in the blogosphere cares enough about you to learn more.
So, for all my readers who would enjoy sharing their unspectacular quirks, I hope you’ll participate in this meme because I want to learn more about you!

Well I just learned a little more about you from that meme. I also hate talking on the phone – always have even when I was a teenager – I attribute it to never having any privacy- our phone was in the kitchen and I had to take it around the corner and down the basement stairs and close the door in order to have any privacy. I also love reality TV and Kitchen Nightmares and Survivor. I can understand you taking your own pillow when you travel -having the right pillows are the most important part of getting a good night’s sleep. I can’t read more than 1 book at a time though – I’m impressed you can do that. Have a great Day

We have some things in common I see…I also hate talking on the phone and always have, and I read more than one book at a time usually. I loved learning more about you.
Have a wonderful day!

Well, I am so delighted that I am not the only reality tv addict–also I love my own pillow and often take it with me on trips. It’s one of those special types with a hole for your head. I did this meme a while back but didn’t mention these two quirks.

Hey we are of the same cloth! Other than the coffee and the Feather beds! I cannot sleep well without “MY” pillow, and love reality TV..Survivor starts tomarrow night!! And yes I can read two books at once, but I prefer to do them one at a time. I wanted to put the phone in a booth out at the end of the driveway..but my husband insisted it be IN the house. He also insisted on an Stove for cooking instead of just a microwave.
I enjoy your blog!

And I love Project Runway! I’m a costumer, at times, and I love to see what each designer comes up with, although I usually disagree with whom they choose as the winner each week (not often with the loser, though).
I love how nature-centered your postings are…I live in Washington, and I am fortunate to be surrounded by trees and mountains every day. It helps me keep my sanity (and coffee helps too)! Check out my blog, if you like, at http://shakespearemom.today.com
Happy Posting!
