I was tagged by Dori who is the author of the blog From a Yellow House in England. She’s been feeling ill lately so I hope everyone will drop by her blog and wish her a speedy recovery and while you are there make sure you read her list of 7 facts because she has some amazing accomplishments. I had a hard time finding seven more things to share about me but here’s the list I made:
1. I’m 5’3″ when I stretch tall.
2. In college, I majored in both history and English with an emphasis on Medieval life and literature.
3. I love art and I had dreams of becoming a curator of a famous museum throughout my school years.
4. I studied Latin for 6 years.
5. I sponsor children through Compassion and my relationship with each of them is a cherished part of my life.
6. I love to have the CD player blasting while I’m doing my household chores, especially Toby Keith, Neil Young and Keith Urban.
7. And finally, I’ll share with you my one brush at fame. I was in college in Berkeley, California at the same time Patricia Hearst was kidnapped by the Symbionese Liberation Army. At the time, I resembled her and and I was stopped multiple times by people who thought they had spotted the missing heiress. I was actually on a tour of Universal Studios when the guide stopped our tram and announced over the loud speaker we had Patty Hearst joining us that day. Everyone gasped because she was missing and they turned and looked at me and started whispering. That was not only one of my most embarrassing moments but my only brush with celebrity and I can say I’m happy I’m not famous.
I’m not going to tag anyone specifically but if you’d like to participate, please do. It’s a great way to learn more about fellow bloggers.

Oh my, your number 7 is just… wow! I’m glad I’m not celebrity either. I could not take the attention and all the paparazzi

I was tagged by my friend Emm so I will post mine soon.

I love your list of seven things. And hey, my list pales in comparison to yours
Your major in college and studying Latin sounds so interesting. I love art too. I had fantasies about being a curator or anything I could do at a museum.
You amazing woman you!

some very interesting things…especially you resembling Patty Hearst – that had to have been kind of fun and scary all at the same time. You got just a little taste of what celebrities have to put up with all the time, and I’ll bet it made you value your privacy.

Thank you for posting your list. It’s nice to have a little glimpse into your life.
I’m glad you didn’t look enough like Patty Hearst that you SLA mistook you for her.

I was an English Lit major in college and my favorite period was Medieval lit. King Arthur, Beowulf… oh how I immersed myself in the words…
What is it about that barbaric time that draws us in? Is it the mystery, the chivalry or the pure rawness of the period?
I love country music too–the old and the new–Cash, Brooks, Alabama, Milsap and Urban.
Now about the CD blasting when I am cleaning? No…I prefer total silence…
Thanks for sharing and for taking me back many years…
