Running Errands in The Northeast Kingdom

Mountain Man has been busy moving more siding into the barn to be stained.

But he was happy to stop when I told him I needed to do some shopping for my soon to arrive chicks. (Did I ever tell you he does all the driving too?)

Doing errands in Vermont is never drudgery. So many beautiful sights to see, so many interesting shops and best of all no traffic ever. So here, you have it, Vermont as seen from the confines of a moving car. And, if you have the time, check out the links for some wonderful, local Northeast Kingdom shopping.

The ice on the Connecticut River is disappearing rapidly.

I always smile when we pass this sign.

This statue points the way to Dog Mountain.

We pass by Maple Grove Farms which is very busy this time of year.

On the way home, we pass Black Angus cows and one lone Holstein enjoying the sun.

Back home again and Mountain Man is back to work.

Life in Vermont. It’s pretty darn special.

That sign is great! Oh, I also noticed that they have home-made fudge…yum!
I would love to live where you both live. I’ve always wanted to live in Vermont or Maine, but it’s never worked out. I’ll spend some time and go through the links you provided. At least Mountain Man had a break form work :)
Have a great weekend!

Beautiful stuff!

One question…

Is Mtn Man on the forks of the tractor? And is he wearing a safety harness? I’m just sayin’… BE CAREFUL!

Mike’s dad just fell off the top of the horse trailer and broke his hip…

Wow, I would go for a drive every day, especially with a chauffeur so I could enjoy the sights! I can see why you hated to leave for the winter, it truly is a beautiful area. How lucky!

There you are. I think I have figured out how to read all of your post. Guess I’m slow cause it’s confusing to me. At first I could only find the snippet. Glad you’re up and running. Vermont is gorgeous anytime of year. Do you have the mini donkeys yet?

Vermont is beautiful. Never been there but I’ve seen plenty of pictures.I think my favorite season there would be fall with all the wonderful red. We don’t get much red here in Kansas and we didn’t in British Columbia. Love that sign too! Hey my hubby does all the driving too…I love it! I do venture off to the hairdressers if I absolutely have to (and that doesn’t happen very often) and to the Y but that’s it. I’m very comfortable sitting back and letting him take over. Hope you’re having a wonderful day!
