Red Pine Mountain Turns to Gold

The economy is faltering; our country is in turmoil and I spend sleepless nights worrying about the future for our children. I try to comprehend excess, excess spending, excess lifestyles and greed that has led us to such a low point.
The country is in turmoil but nature marches inexorably through it’s cycles. Life is eternal and we are here for just a moment in time. And, as I awoke this morning, Red Pine Mountain was shrouded in fog and underneath that fog was a world turning golden. A true and timeless gold. Join me as I savor the beauty of God’s creation.

Beautiful. I’m afraid that if I lived there with you on the mountain, I would never leave for work. I would just watch the beauty all day long :o )

Your photographs are fantastic!
We have to all remember who is in charge..and it ain’t us! I TRY not to worry about my Grandkids..you know the old saying “If you pray why worry, and if you worry why pray?” :)

I thank God for such beauty and I thank Him for you sharing it with me!

Like Ivanhoe said, if I lived there I would have to be retired because I could never force myself to work.

peace and beauty in the midst of all the chaos that is going on with our country. Your pictures give us a needed break from all of our worries – no matter what is lost monetarily, we will always have the beauty of nature around us to bring us peace. Thanks for reminding us.

I don’t have all the same beautiful things as you, to wake up to each morning..but way out in my neck of the woods( prairies), I DO take the beauty of Gods work into my heart as I sit on my front porch. It helps me gain strength to get on with my daily routines as the fretting of what’s happening in the world today, our ecomony a biggie..would stifle my day..It lies pretty heavy on our hearts too…

I love the Orange leaves…they glow even on dull rainy days…which we haven’t been having :)

I find the peak foliage season is always the first week of October usually where I am.

Such a lovely place to be. It’s important to take just a few minutes in the day to take a look around at the beauty that is still here in the world…You helped provide that little escape with your words and
beautiful pictures!
