Just a random day out with Tobias and doing some work on the sit/stay command.
Mountain Man is busy staining the boards for the barn.
I can drop Tobias’ leash now and he’ll stay. Did you know I used to compete in obedience trials with my dogs?
He loves practicing stay in water. After all he’s a newfie!

The days are growing shorter and shadows are on the mountains.
Khrysta is running in her pasture.
But she always has time to stop and give kisses.
Your pictures are so beautiful! It was a pretty day here too though. Great sit-stay outdoors even in the water! Abby does a good sit-stay for me too, not for Gerard so much though. He doesn't really practice it with her enough.

I love your newfie! He is so cute! My mother taught obedience school for about 35 years..did I tell you that already? That is probably why I sit and stay so well! I use to tell the kids to "sit" also! Funny!

Our dog does look like your newfie!!! But I dont think he has newfie in him as his mom was purebred Golden Retriever. Dad was some smaller breed, short haired thing that made mean doggies. Tubs is the only one that was big, curly, and has a nice personality.

Your very blessed! To live on a mountain that is soo beautiful, who could ask for anything more! I did obedience with one of my labs. I scored a 198 out of 200 with him. Unfortunately,he had to be put down not long after that. But he was great in obedience!

Those fall colors are incredible. The one time I was in Vermont, it was during the summer, but I still loved the country.
