Pictures From Rainy Days

Thanks everyone for your comments. I’ll be answering your questions soon and I appreciate all of them. It’s been raining nonstop here; a cool, typical Northeast Kingdom summer. Here’s some pictures for you.

On the way home.

Almost there.

Rain again this morning obliterating the mountains in fog.

The horses were sleeping in the stall but woke up when I appeared. Cash wants his morning kiss but Khrysta is more interested in the deer frequenting the pasture these days.

And my favorite picture, sent to me by cell phone; my first grandchild.

There’s nothing quite so wonderful as a new life.

Awesome photos…this reminds me of my home in the Northwest…:) :) The one with the fog covering the mountains…that happens a LOT in Oregon too…when it get’s cloudy and especially right before it’s about to rain :) :) :)
I love the photos :) :) that looks like a beautiful part of the world :) :)
Love and hugs, Heather :)

Congrats on the new baby! Love the pic of Cash and Khrysta. I would be sitting on your new porch and listening to the rain fall if I were there and sipping on a cup of hot tea maybe with a scone..

We’re having a lush, green, Virginia summer. Just 10 degrees cooler and I would be one happy girl.

Congrats!!! on the new addition to the family, cool photo.

I have always loved taking a walk in nature after a rain as it is so refreshing. Your photos display that so beautifully.

We just finished four days of cold rain, only got up to 54*. We are having the strangest weather…some days so hot a person can hardly breathe, then cold/almost freezing weather. Really strange for our part of the world.

The rains have left us and headed into Oklahoma where they seem to be causing much damage.

You are going to be a Grammy!!!! Wonderful!!!! Grandchildren are the best part of having kids.

Well, a month has passed since my son’s wedding. I will be so happy when there is news of a grandchild on the way. In the meantime, Laura is working such long shifts as a paramedic. I did the same thing as a young RN in the operating room, out of necessity, to support my family.

Hey, I got my book yesterday. Thank you!!! I am so excited to have gotten that, and I LOVE Karen, so I can’t wait to sit down with it. What a nice surprise to get in the mail. :)

This is one of those increasingly rare, RARE times that entrecard brings me to a blog so compelling amidst the ad-heavy “money-making” morass.

I’m fascinated by your blog!

I’m a big city girl who shuttles between NY and LA, but when I write (YA fantasy), so many of my characters live on farms or in small bucolic settings. It’s a primal yearning, I think, for simplicity, and of humans to return to the land.
