On A Warm, Sunny Day

What a beautiful day it was. Mountain Man took advantage of the sunshine to perfect his log splitting platform. He wants it level.

He raked the dirt until it was smooth.

When he started to work on the other section, Lilly thought he looked tired and decided to help with the digging.

After a while, they headed back to the shop to work.

Quiet again. A robin made an appearance.

And as the shadows started to lengthen, my three new friends appeared.

They are allowing me to get closer.

But the oldest is still wary.

They bounded away into the woods but paused long enough to say goodbye.

Time to head home. But I know they’ll be back.

There’s something magical about Red Pine Mountain on a warm, sunny day.

Hour home is absolutely what country living is all about. Peace, nature, family. Always enjoy your posts!

We saw our first robin of the year just a few days ago. That is just terrific that you get deer coming onto your property. You are so blessed to be living where you are.
Happy Easter!

I think it seems like a special, rain or shine, any season of the year. You and your family make it so, with the contributions, of course, of God and nature.
A joyous Easter to you all!

I love your mountain on a nice sunny day–much better than with all that deep snow! Your dog was a good helper with the digging. Our dog just dug in our front yard this spring–she never digged before and Gerard brought her inside as soon as he noticed. He didn’t stay mad at her long though, about 10 minutes I think.
