On A Beautiful Spring Day

It’s in the 50s today and the sun is shining brightly. A most unusual day for mid March in the Northeast Kingdom. I decided I wanted to start working in the garden cleaning up last year’s debris so Mountain Man decided to get me started.

First he showed me how to properly remove the old sunflower stalks.

Next, he showed me how to pull old debris from the asparagus patch.

And how to use the shears properly.

And then he left me to my own devices and started work on staining the boards for the siding on the barn.

Lots more boards to stain before he’s done.

We have yet to have a 50* day.
We need to work on removing a few sunflower “trees” -as the boys put it- too.
