My First Writing Assignment; Write With Me

I had my first assignment today from my short story writing class. I thought I’d share it with you and I’d love to see what you’ll write.

The assignment: Write a Short Story in Six Words

My story:

“Black ice, tires squeal, crimson drifts.”

What would you write?

I’m having so much fun with this. I knew bloggers were the most talented writers in the universe. If this professor isn’t “anti blog” as my last one was, I’ll direct him here to read your answers.

My husband is more creative than me, so I’ll post his 2 ideas, which I thought were great.

Your story is powerful. It is eerily complete and paints a vivid picture/scene. Well done!

Hubby’s is the story of Oedipus in 6 words:
Witnessed Dad die, loved Mom–oops!

Here’s my try:
Virginity stolen, sister born, Daddy imprisoned.

45 and Aspiring, my story is autobiographical about my husband’s death. Your story is so painful to think about a child experiencing such trauma is almost more than anyone can bear.
Julia, I hope you’re feeling better.
Chris, I’m glad you are safe and warm with your babies inside.
JC, nothing better than those gentle whickers.
Karen, I know what you mean about blogging!
Cindy, I sure wish I was napping by the sea.
Dan, I agree with your story 100%
Azure Islands, very creative.
Reddunappy, I agree with you.
Thanks all. Each and every one of you is a remarkable talent and I’m so glad you shared.
