Thanks all for your comments. I can be having a rough day and then I read what you have written and it really lightens my spirits. You, my readers, are all very special to me.
It’s been beautiful here. Sunny, warm days followed by gentle days of rain and the Northeast Kingdom is enjoying an early Spring. And no one is more excited about the grass than Khrysta. She’s mowing it down as fast as it grows so we decided to expand her pasture. I know I share photos of this event every time but that’s because it’s my favorite chore. I follow behind Mountain Man at a leisurely pace, taking photos and admiring the view. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
Pulling up the fencing.

Hammering in the new stakes. We’re not giving her the entire hill just yet.

But we’re getting closer to the edge of the forest. And, yes, the pictures don’t lie. We really do wear the same clothes all the time but they do get washed.

And I have to have a close up of Mountain Man and showing off his new, yearly haircut once again. Long in the winter to keep his neck warm and short in the summer to keep him cool.

Lots of walking.

Up and down.

And one cranky mare locked into her stall anxious to be released.

Free at last!

well your site has certainly changed! How have you been since returning to the mountain!

Mountain man looks very handsome in his summer cut. Yay for Khrysta to have all that room to run!

I love, love the mountains. I have already told my daughter that the day she moves away to college is the day i move our farm to the side of some mountain.
