Looking Back to What Lies Ahead

I was going through the posts on my photo blog today and I found this one from February 23 of last year. I hope it will remind you to cherish each summer day because winter is no longer so far away.

Yesterday, it snowed the entire day. Horses stayed in stalls.

And, there was no light outside as the snow obliterated everything.

This morning, when I tried to get out the door, this is what I found.
And, here is what it looks like with the 18″ inches of new snow.
We’re buried under snow and it’s still snowing. But it sure is beautiful!

Hmmm, it's pretty, alright, but I still think if I had to choose between snow and rain, I'd take rain! The most snow I've ever had at my place is 24 inches and that was back in 1996. Usually we'll get a couple of inches, but it never lasts very long. We start getting cranky if the snow sticks around longer than a week!

Oh gosh! I really don't like winter weather, even if it is pretty. I don't think I could handle all that snow. I've been wanting to get away from Ohio before it gets wintery. But, now, with our daughter expecting in February, it won't happen this year.

I wish we had some of that right now in Florida just to cool it off. The AC seems to run all the time and it is set on 80, can't afford it to be less than that. The humidity is unbearable and forget fixing your hair. It wilts as soon as you step outside!
