Hi everyone. I hope everyone is okay with all the heat everywhere in the country. I hate to say it but it’s beautiful here. Days in the 70s; nights in the 50s. Maybe it’s time to plan a Vermont vacation?
Anyway, I’ve been in contact with the four winners of my Comments for Charity from last month and when they let me know what charities they’ve chosen, I’ll share their decisions with you. I’m not sure whether I’ll have this same contest this month because quite frankly, I’m not sure how much I’ll be blogging.
But today, I’d like to draw your attention to Kiva. If you don’t know about Kiva, in a nutshell it is an organization that pools borrowers money together to make loans to people all around the globe who otherwise couldn’t get loans. The minimum loan amount is 25.00. When the loan is repaid, you can either lend the money again or withdraw it. I’ve been with Kiva several years, given quite a few Kiva gift certificates and everyone who has worked with Kiva has enjoyed the experience.
For a brief time, Kiva is having a promotion. They are giving you 25.00 to lend. Yes, 25.00 free to lend and to keep lending. All you have to do is follow my link and sign up by clicking HERE.
This opportunity is incredible and a chance for you to make a difference in someone’s life. I hope you’ll all head over there now and start lending.
And because I can’t do a post without a picture, here’s one of my turkey roosting with her babies.

Stay cool everyone.

I posted my link on Twitter and Facebook, but in my KIVA account, it only shows it listed on Twitter–wonder why. I mentioned this on my book blog today and on my main blog tomorrow.

I’ve been working with Kiva for a few years now, and it is truly amazing how a simple investment here and there can make such a difference over and over again…

KIVA sounds like a great organization. And mother and baby turkey look so very sweet.

LOVE KIVA! Have been involved with them for a couple of years also and have had such a great experience. I tried to encourage folks to use the “free loan” but I didn’t get any takers!! Amazing!!! Why would you not??? So happy to know that some others are onboard with it, though!!! Good on ya!!!

I’ve been loaning on Kiva for quite a few years. It’s fun as well as helpful.
