Thanks everyone for stopping by. Business first; the winner of the drawing for the book “Ecobeauty” is Dawn. Congratulations Dawn and I’ll be sending you an email shortly. I’ll also be putting giveaways in the other sections of my blog from time to time but they won’t be announced in the title. I want the giveaways to go to you who always take the time to read and leave me comments to show my appreciation.
And in other news, your comments have already raised $7.50 for The Wounded Warrior Project and it’s only the first week in March. I’m excited to see how much we can raise for a wonderful cause.
If you’re looking for inspiration today, you aren’t going to find it. Well, maybe Mountain Man can inspire you with his ceaseless energy but I personally have the blahs.
Most of you have been enjoying a resurgence of warmer weather or at least sunshine but not us. It’s been below zero most mornings and cold and windy every day. It looks like this

And this

Today was supposed to be warmer and it is but not by much.
I complain to Mountain Man and he answers, “Warmer NOT warm. Don’t confuse the two. You’ve got another six weeks or so.”
“What do I do?”
“Stay busy.” I think I remember him saying that to me last time I asked.
I stayed busy all right. I decided to play with the sidebar on my blog and somehow managed to erase most of it. I also managed to undo all of Heather’s design work which she then had to repair. Hmm, I think I’d better find something else to do.
While I’m searching for something to do that doesn’t involve the computer, the ever resourceful Mountain Man has not been idle. After building multiple doors for the house in the Ozarks, he decided to remodel our mud room by putting in a large closet and yes, building more doors.
Here’s the photos without any commentary. Sorry, but I just don’t have it in me and really Mountain Man leaves me speechless with his industriousness.

He’s still hard at work saying something about his plans for dinner, some wonderful feast he’s preparing.
Me, well, I’m going to grab my quilt and curl up with KT-Whippet and wait for winter to end.
I hope your days are filled with warmth and sunshine.

It looks great. I love the natural wood look. What is that knotty pine?

I’m not sure how warm it was today. It rained all day and it’s still raining
Your hubby really is industrious. He’s got amazing skills to build anything he wants too
It still looks cold where your at…I’m praying for some su nshine for you
Curling up in a nice warm house sounds good. Maybe some movies and a craft project, too? Enjoy the rest of your weekend. Extra love and hugs from Oregon, Heather

Congratulations to Dawn, it is always nice to win something.
Just seeing Mountain Man hard at work makes me want to head down stairs to the workshop.

I am sorry you have the blahs, but I can relate, I know those blahs too well. If you have a moment, come over to my place and see Calypso’s new digs. Also, there are lots of pics of his most handsome self on my FB page under an album called the Calypso Collection. He may be able to earn his own keep with those good looks. We adore him. Endlessly. And it has so brought my husband and I back to a close place we had been missing and didn’t even know it. So look there, you may have saved my mental health and improved my 29 year old marriage….not so blah, right?

Hello Mountain Woman!
I know how you feel although our snow has been gone for a while..but it is chilly here and we’re still burning our wood stove. This seems to have been a particularly bad winter for a lot of us and it seems like it’s never going to end….but it will eventually. My goodness does your Mountain Man EVER sit and relax or is he like this ALL the time LOL! My DH enjoys looking at the posts on his projects and I know if my DH hadn’t broken his back and gone through 2 back surgeries that he would be just like Mountain Man. He still does pretty good but the cold makes him seize up so he’s really anxious for warmer weather so he can get all his projects caught up. I’m just really anxious for him to get the picket fence finished so we’ll be ready to start the flower garden soon! Right now it’s just a waiting game…like it is for you. I hope tomorrow is a better day for you.

Sorry you have the “blahs”! Though I am experiencing nice weather, I did grow up in the northeast and remember the end of winter when you are so ready for it be over and it is still hanging on. But, just think of how incredibly beautiful it is going to be there when the winter does fade away!
And thank you SO much! I am so incredibly excited to receive my book and start concocting a few things!
Looking forward to hearing from you!

I think Blog Blah is going around. Visited TheLandyardLady’s blog and she was complaining about having blogstipation; couldn’t seem to think of anything creative to blog about. I liked her terminology.
Hope that groundhog was right and that spring will come early, even for folks like you and Mt. Man who live up in the mountains where it takes spring a little longer to reach. I don’t think it’s the cold that gets us down as much as the dreary dark gray sky. We all need sunshine to brighten our spirits and warm our souls.
Hang in there, Spring has to be almost up your mountain by now.

I’m with ya on the blahs–and the messing with the sidebar. I don’t change much on mine because I typically just mess it up.
Oh well.
Here’s to warmER weather. I can’t wait for it to come. My frogs came up yesterday from hibernating–I’m hoping that is a sign that it is coming.

I hope the spring thaw arrives soon by you! We are to have snow again!!
The construction looks great!!

Maybe now would be a good time for you to do some reading. I’m sure you would enjoy “Rose In The Storm.” Too bad you messed up your sidebar.

The sky looks so gray, it is not surprising your mood is blah. I have that problem too. Wish I had MM’s energy. I have been working on quilts and that is enjoyable.

I so know how you feel, we are getting warmth now, but I don’t look for it to really stay long and we still have snow banks and the grass is barely peeking though. I think Mountain Man should come to my house and redo it for me

We are all entitled to the doldrums on occasion and I must admit I would certainly have them if all I could see for miles was snow. Good for Mountain Man to stay busy – that’s how h deals with all the white stuff!
