For the Mare Who Enjoys Her Pampering; Breakfast The Khrysta Way

Hey, everyone.  How do I even begin to thank you for your wonderful birthday wishes to Mountain Man.  He was so surprised and thrilled too and you made his birthday the best ever!  Thanks so much for being part of the surprise.  All of you are so incredible.

Khrysta thinks it’s time she shared her thoughts with you so here it is.

What’s a mare to do? Day after day of nasty weather, cold, ice and clouds.  Geesh, I had to stand the whole time.  How is a pampered Morgan princess supposed to cope?  The answer:  The first sunny day, demand breakfast in bed.

Morning hay the relaxing way.

So many flakes, where do I start?
This looks tasty.
Full belly. Bright sun.  Can’t keep my big beautiful, brown eyes open.
Wake me in an hour Mom.

Now why didn’t I think of this before?

She's gorgeous! I'm a bit partial to horses having always wanted one but likely never will. You can't really blame her for wanting breakfast in bed after enduring that kind of nasty weather either. I hope you enjoy your Wordless Wednesday :)

That is soooo cute especially with you translating her thoughts to share with the rest of us.

I wanted to also thank you for your kind comments the other day. You left me two lovely ones that I found in my spam folder. I'm glad I always check before dumping it. It hasn't happened before when you've commented in the past so I'm not sure what has changed, but I'll look more often now.

What a beautiful mare! No wonder you want to pamper her a bit. She looks so happy here, with her tummy full, the warm sun lulling her to sleep and a nap to refresh herself for later in the day!

I'd be worried seeing the horse laying down like that. I thought they only laid down when they were sick. Shows what little I know about horses, huh?

Every once in awhile you just have to have breakfast in bed and then take a nap in the sun. I tried to tell my wife that and she just looks at me like I'm crazy. LOL

Awwww…that's so cute! Sometimes my llamas lay down to eat but I've never had one of my horses lay down to eat. Give Krysta a hug for me.

Too cute! I get so tickled at ours when they get sleepy. First the head starts to droop, then the chin gets plunked down in the grass, then the head starts wobbling back and forth before they finally give in to the overwhelming urge for a snooze and they finally stretch out. Fun post :o )

Happy New Year, New England Bloggers!

Our 1-year anniversary is coming up Jan 27. To mark the occasion I am going to put up a Mr. Linky on the evening of Mon, Jan 25. If you'd like to write a post about living in NE, your favorite places to visit, funny stories and stereotypes, recipes, photos of our gorgeous landscape, anything, it would be great if you would link in. I'd also like a little idea of # of participants, if you could just send me a reply.
I apologize if you are getting this twice. Many people haven't given me emails so I have to leave it in the comments.
