Cute Chipmunk Pictures

Thank you one and all for your sweet and kind comments. All of you are such a blessing in each and every one of my days.

We were outside barbecuing last night when K-T-Whippet treed a chipmunk. He was so adorable, I just had to share.

He decided it would be safer to stay in the tree.

And I could tell from his expression he was anxious.

But he quickly relaxed. “Hey, lady, can you get me down?”

He stared at me with his big brown eyes.

And then took a flying leap at which point I dropped the camera and got out of his way!

Wow, I can’t believe he was daring enough to take to the ground, especially since whippets run pretty fast, don’t they?

we love, love whippets. We don’t see any chipmunks here, but all three of our dogs love to chase squirrels and tree them up. There have been those unfortunate times when the squirrels got outrun by the dogs…

SO CUTE!! And I’m with GiftsoftheJourney – I didn’t know they climbed trees. Maybe they don’t and that’s why he decided to fly out! Glad you didn’t wear him for a hat. :)

I understand they can climb the side of brick buildings too. They are quite the little climbers when they want to be. He is VERY cute–I’m glad he survived the chase. :)
