Countdown to Spring Blog Giveaway Contest

Are you suffering from winter doldrums? Are you longing for the sound of baby birds chirping, flowers blooming, trees resplendent in new leaves? If you are, then I have the perfect blog contest for you. The prize is a bird house made by Pam’s Farm Man. Probably you all know Pam, the author of Life on a Southern Farm, but if you don’t click on through to her fantastic blog.

Now, this is not your ordinary blog giveaway. There is work involved. And, unfortunately, there can only be one winner per week.

Here are the rules in a nutshell. For the next FOUR WEEKS, one bird house per week will be given away to the lucky winner.

The first person to leave a comment will be chosen as the winner but there’s a catch. You are leaving a comment to sign up to write an essay to be published on this blog. The essay should be approximately 500 words (or longer). The topic is up to you but some suggestions are to tell us how you have used faith in your life, share with us humorous anecdotes or talk about your struggles with weight and dieting. The field is wide open but please no profanity or anything harmful to another. I reserve the right to reject essays with inappropriate content.

Just to remind you, THE FIRST PERSON TO SIGN UP IN THE COMMENTS section to write an essay will be the winner and after their essay is published, the fantastic bird house pictured above will be on the way to them. You have one week from the time you sign up in the comments section to finish your essay. Essays MUST BE EMAILED TO: redpinemountainatgmail.com. I am unable to copy and paste essays that have been previously published on your blog.

I told you I’d make you work.
