Countdown to Spring Blog Giveaway Contest; Week 3

Before I post the rules for the contest this week, I wanted to let you know this is the last post on this blog until next week. I want to take the remainder of the week to answer your comments you have so thoughtfully left.
Then, on Monday, I’ll be unveiling a new weekly post entitled “Mountain Man Mondays.” I want you to learn more about the incredible man who shares Red Pine Mountain with me.
Now, without further ado, the contest:
The Prize to be awarded is a bird house made by Pam’s Farm Man.
Here are the rules for this week:
1. Pick one blog you have never visited. Go to that blog, read an entry and leave a comment for the author. It would be especially nice if you chose a blogger that is new and has not received very many comments yet. Then, just leave a note in my comments section you would like to enter the contest.
2. The contest will close on Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at 11:59 p.m.
3. On Wednesday, March 11, 2009, I will print off all the names of the people who entered, put them in a hat and have Mountain Man draw the winner. I will post the name of the winner on my blog on Wednesday, March 11th.
Everyone has a chance to win and the odds just depend on how many people enter.
You are on the honor system as far as visiting a new blog is concerned but you all know how much comments mean to a blogger so let’s get out there and share our hearts.
Well, I went to “The Apron Goddesses” blog, never been there before. I don’t even know if she gets alot of readers or comments. But, I went there and found it quite interesting. Never thought it would be somewhat about horses. I’ll probably go back as we have 2 horses also.

What a neat idea! I went too http://journeysofcactusjack.blogspot.com and I am glad I did. What a neat blog featuring a beautiful horse. Reminded me of a horse I owned as a teenager.

I do this all the time. If there are not any comments on a post even better. I like to be the first sometimes.
It’s a nice way to work around reading blogs, finding those who don’t have many comments and spreading appreciation.

I went to the History Of Chicago blog that was on your Entrecard widget. I had not been there before and read a lovely post. It is nice to know that early hotel builders were concerned about toilet seat safety.

I look forward to reading about Mountain Man! That should keep you blogging for awhile!! Also, nice idea about the commenting on new blogs to brighten people’s day. I try to do this anyway because I like exploring new blogs and I know how much fun it is to receive comments on what we write.
