Comments For Charity; Results

Thanks to your comments last month, we raised 42.50 for The Wounded Warrior Project and the same amount for The Red Cross to aid in their Japan efforts.

This month, I’m again focusing donations on aid for Japan. The first charity I’ve chosen is The Search Dog Foundation. Not only do they deploy rescue teams in our country but they also help out overseas where they are needed. If you’re interested in learning more, they have a great site.

The other organization I’ve selected is Save The Children. I’ve been a sponsor with Save The Children for a while and admire the work they do.

For each comment you leave, .25 will go to each charity.

Karen Zemek is the one started this idea of comments for charity. Head on over there too and lets raise money for good causes.

Sara, you are so thoughtful about those that are definitely in need of help. Some would say that 42 dollars won’t help with anything, but I say every little bit helps. We all should be more like you are and give to the needs of the global need more often.

Have a great charity day.

Every amount raised helps. It is added to every other amount and, soon, it amounts to a million dollars. I am so touched that even school children are making the effort to do fund raising to help the Japanese. It is a wonderful thing to learn, even from our youngest years, the importance of making humanitarian efforts and to love our fellow human beings in this world and no gift, however small, is not appreciated, in this time of need.

Thank you so much for your kindness.

These are two charities I haven’t heard about before but am happy to leave comments to help support both of them. I’m so glad you are doing this too and am very encourage to learn that another blogger, Beth Ann over at It’s Just Life (http://bethannchiles.com) is joining us by donating 50 cents per legitimate comment on her blog to The National Parkinson’s Foundation during April.

Such a great idea and wonderful causes! I am coming over from Karen’s and jumped on the Charity comment donation bandwagon! My focus for April is going to be National Parkinson Foundation in memory of my dad. My post about that is here: http://bethannchiles.com/2011/04/03/blog-comments-for-a-cause/
I love this idea, don’t you???? Thanks!!!
