At Last; Something To Say

Thanks everyone for your comments. I appreciate them so very much.

I’ve been away from the computer for almost a week taking a break from my online world.  I’ve been busy though.  Emma is progressing in her recovery and will get her stitches out tomorrow.  And, most thankfully, her cancer was benign.

I’ve been arranging transportation for Tigger and Trey, the mini donkeys.  Tigger weighs 60 pounds and Trey weighs 100.  Both are smaller than Toby, our newfie.

And also new mini foal named “Bliss” will be joining us as well.

And a young gelding now named Apache (suggestions for a different name anyone?)

I’ve been reading all I can about the care of fowl for my new arrivals at the beginning of May.

The turkeys I so well remember as a child, The Narragansett:

My lavender guinea hens:

And my “Easter Egg” chickens who are supposed to lay eggs in a wide variety of beautiful colors.

I wrote a post for Grit Magazine on gardening:

Yes, You Can (Garden That Is)

I’ve ordered seeds and assembled my supplies ready to start this year’s garden.

And, Mountain Man has been busy hauling trash to the dump (nothing I want to photograph) in preparation for our remodeling but I haven’t felt like blogging and showing you more pictures of clouds.   I’ve been wondering if I’d ever feel like blogging again until today when I woke up and found this in my inbox:

Heather’s first draft of my blog redesign.

Now if I could just think of something to write.

I love your new layout…but I like what you already have too! I can understand how it would be difficult to write something new every day especially if things are pretty quiet at home. I've been thinking of starting a Blog but I worry that this will happen to me too. I wish you luck! I'm glad to hear the cancer was benign. We have two dinky donkey's..the male is getting castrated on March 2nd. Love your new little Mini horse too. I love your blog and I look forward to seeing how things are going with the renovations…we are in the same boat. Enjoy your day!

SO glad the cancer is benign, that is such a relief for all of you I am sure. The new additions to your farm are going to make you one busy woman, but I suspect we out here reading about your life will probably not know of a happier woman either :)
The new blog design looks great! Very fresh and inviting.
Best of luck with this week and your continuing remodels.

The "minis" are all so cute!
I am so happy that Emma's cancer was benign and she is recovering.

You have so much going on around your farm. It all sounds so exciting. As is the new blog look.

On the brooder. FarmMan hopes to build some to sell but it will probably be in about a month. He only has the 1 built right now.

Apache is such a nice name. I think it suits him.

Have a great day.

You've lots of responsibilities. You certainly have lots of things to write about. You live in the wide outdoors. That should give you tons of topics. Us city dwellers would love to hear about what it's like to live in the country. Just saying.

Have a terrific day. :)

Love the Layout draft, wonderful!
Your animals are so beautiful, can't wait to see the colorful eggs.
Hmm, you could call Apache, "Patches", kind of sounds that same. It is so hard to name our four legged friends sometimes.

Wow, that's going to be quite the caravan, getting all those new furred and feathered kids back to the Ozarks…. or is the plan never to leave your gorgeous mountaintop?

I love your blog and never tire of the big blue sky photos, looks and sounds heavenly to me.

Glad Emma is feeling better, too… take care

Wow that's quite a bit of stuff going on! Very impressive on the animals. I have drawn the line in the sand on animals at our place. I think the kids count as three anyway. :)

How about Domino, Starry Night, or Tuxedo? I'm going with names for black and white. I found them here:

Praise the Lord that the cancer was benign. What a relief!

I like your own design. All the minis are adorable. Makes me want one in my backyard but I live in the city so that won't work. All the birds are pretty neat too. That is one fat turkey! Colored eggs, waiting to see those. You sure live the life up there on your mountain top!
